Beauty in the 21st Century (Dream Women / Dream Men)
Women
Through their cameras they see the most beautiful women: the world’s top fashion photographers. But how do they personally relate to beauty? What is the inspiring driver behind the idealised image of zeitgeist? What defines the muse‘s power? What is generated beyond the needs of the market or the mandate, what emerges ‚from itself’? The exhibition collects the international elite of Fashion Photography and gives it an artistic-creative scope. Intimate, delicate moments or unusual, unsparing views — this is about much more than the reflection of society’s ideal conceptions, it is about the ‚truth in beauty’ and how it can be realised. And how it is hidden in the visage of the public, which forces the mania for skinniness and youth upon it. A compendium, which guides us into the future of perception.

Men
Particularly in recent years, society´s image of the male has undergone major changes. From the Adonis with six pack abs and the metrosexual male up to and including the self-confident, dynamic success type personality whose decisions are nevertheless motivated by passion. The world´s top fashion photographers have played a decisive role in shaping this evolution. What is the inspiring force behind the (idealised) iconographical image of the zeitgeist? What develops beyond the requirements of the market place, what develops ´on its own´? The project gathers the international elite of fashion and portrait photography for the first time, providing it with a creative artistic framework. It shows men from various perspectives, strong, weak, sexy — modern men who reflect more than the social ideal, enabling something from the substance of their being to emerge.
