About the exhibition

The artists used videos of protest actions from around the world to create this work. They trained the neural network Mask R-CNN to independently distinguish between protesters and police officers and selectively apply retouching. The ‘Backlash’ project raises the question of how modern technologies can be used for the development of civil society.
